The Sniper Rifle is a weapon very similar to the Shotgun. So far it only appeared in Worms 4: Mayhem and Worms: Ultimate Mayhem. It reappeared in Worms W.M.D. as a mounted gun, and is simply called Sniper.

If you can see your long distance enemy in a straight line then the Sniper Rifle is the best weapon to use. Even though you can have a couple of efforts with the Shotgun, the Sniper Rifle offers a far higher level of accuracy with its zoom feature.
When in First Person view it is easier to zoom as far as you can outwards, find roughly where your target is, then zoom inwards as far as you need to. Unfortunately, you only get one shot with the Sniper Rifle, while you get two shots with the Shotgun. However, a direct hit with the Sniper Rifle causes 40 damage, while a single Shotgun hit only causes 25 damage.
Tips & Tricks[]
- If the enemy is very close to you for easy fire you should use a Shotgun or a different weapon.
- Also, if you can easily fire extremely accurate shots and the enemy is far away but you can still easily shoot them and knock them into the water, then you should still use a Shotgun and save the Sniper Rifle for when you need it more.
- Use the Sniper Rifle only against very distant enemies, if there is no option for using the Shotgun.
