Bungee is a utility which appears in all first and second generation Worms games. When activated, it waits until a worm creeps off an edge, then anchors itself to the terrain and the tail of the falling worm, creating an elastic, Ninja Rope-like cable which saves your worm from fall damage and can even be used strategically.
The Bungee is a useful tool that can be used to scale down long drops without the threat of damaging the Worm's soft little torso.
The Bungee once selected will activate itself when the Worm is walking over a drop where the Worm will damage itself if it falls the distance below without any assistance.
The Bungee can also act as an aid in deploying weapons without leaving the bungee cord. Simply select a weapon such as the Grenade or a stick of Dynamite and release with a simple press of the Enter key.
This is the tricky bit, gather some serious momentum left and right and at the end of the swing (provided no water nearby) press the Space bar to snap the cord and dive from harm's way.
When used in conjunction with the Low Gravity, if the Worm is deployed from the Bungee when at maximum swing the distance the Worm can travel is quite mighty - careful not to let the little guy slip onto any mines though!
Select it in the weapons panel. If you fall of a ledge during your turn, the bungee will be automatically used. Use left and right to swing the bungee back and forth, and use up and down to stretch the cable.
As with the parachute and Ninja Rope, certain weapons like dynamite and mines can be deployed while on the bungee; simply select the weapon and press Enter while hanging from the bungee.
If you want to travel down to your enemy and come back, but don't want to forfeit one of your precious Ninja Ropes or parachutes, the bungee is the tool to use.
The elastic nature of the bungee cord can be used to slingshot worms to great heights; effectively "Bungee Jumping".
